This Friday released Raj Kumar Gupta’s directorial Raid has passed the opening weekend on a solid note and now on weekdays as well, it is showing strong performance at the box office. Due to positive word of mouth, the film has gained a good hold over the audience and heading with better pace than Akshay Kumar’s PadMan.
Produced by Panorama Studios and T-Series Films, Raid has received mostly positive reviews from the critics, due to its impressive story-line and impactful performances by all the actors, especially Ajay Devgn and Saurabh Shukla. The audience also liked it and showed big thumbs up.
After a solid opening, this period crime drama picked up very well over the weekend and did the business of total 41.01 crores, that included 10.04 crores of Friday, 13.86 crores of Saturday and 17.11 crores of Sunday. With this, it has registered the second best opening weekend of the year after Padmaavat.
Now Raid is running on weekdays and despite normal working days, it is heading strongly. On Monday, the film faced a drop of approx. 37.5% than Friday and minted the amount of 6.26 crores. Then on Tuesday, it remained almost steady and raked the business of 5.76 crores.
After 5 days of release, the total collection of Ajay-Ileana starrer has become 53.03 crores at the domestic box office. As per current trend, it is positively expected to collect around 64 crores by the end of this week.
