The two major releases of this week crime action thriller Kaala and American sci-fi Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom are all set to hit the screens a day earlier than Friday. Both the films have huge buzz among their targeted audience in India, but the former one holds the higher position because of solid star power.
Tamil film Kaala stars Thala Rajinikanth along with Nana Patekar and Huma Qureshi. Directed by Pa. Ranjith, it is one of the most awaited south Indian films of the year which is also being released in dubbed Hindi & Telugu versions with the same title.
Superstar Rajini’s is one of the most popular superstars of India. His last offering Kabali was also with the director Pa. Ranjith and was opened at 46.50 crores at the domestic box office including all the versions. With its Hindi version, the film was collected 4.15 crores from 1000 screens.
Considering all the reports and previous records, Kaala is expected to open at a range of 48-50 crores across India with all the versions. The film seems capable to rake the business of 5-6 crores from its Hindi version only as it is extensively shot in Dharavi, Mumbai.
Opposite to this, the new installment of Hollywood’s one of the most popular sci-fi film series Jurassic Park, Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom is also hitting the screens same day and has good hype among the Indian audience in metro cities, although the film is not releasing in a 3D format in India, which will definitely disappoint fans.
Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom is the sequel to 2015’s Jurassic World, which was opened at 4.75 crores with 2D as well as 3D formats in English & Hindi. As per reports, the new one is expected to open at a range of 6-7 crores across Indian screens.
