Official remake of the Tamil movie Thani Oruvan (2015), Dhruva is directed by Surender Reddy and started its box office journey on a strong note worldwide. Ram Charan and Rakul Preet Singh starrer this action thriller has been released with enormous excitement of fans as well as Telugu audience and as expected witnessed overwhelmed response.

Because of its very thrilling story and good direction, the movie has received very positive reviews from critics also, which created strong word of mouth and attracting more audience toward theaters. Both the actors have given wonderful performances, especially Ram, who has impressed everyone very much as an IPS officer in the movie.

On the opening day, Dhruva recorded terrific occupancy across the Telugu states- Andhra Pradesh / Telangana and raked the business of 10.50 crores. From Karnataka and rest of the country, it did the business of 2.50 crores and 2 crores respectively. In USA, it has 200 screens and reported the business of 3.16 crores from there on Thursday’s previews & Friday.

On the next day too, the craze of Dhruva among audience remained strong as Friday but faced usual drop in its business and minted the amount of 5 crores from AP/T, 1.50 crore from Karnataka and 3 crores from rest of India. In USA, the movie scored impressive and done the business of 2.50 crores from there. It is positively expected to take decent jump on Sunday.
