Last week released much anticipated and awaited sports biopic, Sachin A Billion Dreams completed it’s opening week on a good note. Despite being a docu-drama it attracted much audience toward theaters and remained almost steady throughout.

God of cricket Sachin Tendulkar’s biopic was released on 26 May with huge craze of fans as well as audience. Although docu-drama has it’s limitations and that is why it was expected to perform decently at box office. But proving all the predictions wrong, the movie registered good business in a week.

Directed by James Erskine, Sachin A Billion Dreams did the business of total 41.20 crores from 2400 screens nationwide, that included 28.05 crores of weekend and 13.15 crores of weekdays. From 400 screens of overseas market too, it reported quite well business.

Now the movie is running in it’s second week and due to number of new Hindi offerings along with Hollywood’s Baywatch and Wonder Woman, Sachin A Billion Dreams recorded abrupt drop in it’s footfalls and bagged an average amount in the weekend.

On 2nd Friday, the movie witnessed around 38% of drop than previous day and did the business of 1.48 crore. Then on Saturday, with slight rise it raked the business of 2.32 crore.

On the next day i.e. Sunday, Sachin A Billion Dreams remained lower due to India Vs Pakistan cricket match and minted the amount of 1.91 crore to raised it’s 10 days domestic total to 46.91 crores.
