Sanju 35th Day Box Office Collection, Becomes 3rd Highest Grossing Hindi Film of all Time

Finally with the end of its fifth week, the biographical drama Sanju has become the third highest grossing film of all time in Hindi Cinema by surpassing the lifetime total collection of Aamir Khan’s blockbuster PK (340.80 crores). Steadily & strongly, it has set a new & massive height for the career of leading actor Ranbir Kapoor.

Based on the life of mass favorite Indian actor Sanjay Dutt, Sanju is directed by the undisputed filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani and as expected got succeed to hit the bull’s eye. It has impressed all the viewers with its solid story-line backed by the flawless direction and brilliant acting.

Being the highest anticipated film of the year, Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s production opened on an exceptional note and registered the massive business of 202.51 crores in the first week. By maintaining a strong pace, it did the business of 92.67 crores in the second, 31.62 crores in the third, and 10.48 crores in the fourth week.

After the four blockbuster weeks, Sanju passed its fifth weekend as well on a steady note and raked the business of 2.47 crores that included 0.45 crore of 5th Friday, 0.87 crore of 5th Saturday & 1.15 crores of 5th Sunday despite having the new Hollywood biggie Mission: Impossible – Fallout in parallel.

Then on weekdays, Fox Star Studios’ presentation witnessed a considerable drop in footfalls but still managed to remain good. On 5th Monday, it faced a drop of 22.2% than Friday and minted the amount of 0.35 crore. Following the trend, the film collected 0.40 crore on 5th Tuesday and 0.38 crore on 5th Wednesday.

On the next day i.e. 5th Thursday, with a further drop, Sanju bagged the business of 0.34 crore and raised its 5 weeks total collection to 341.22 crores nett (437.46 crores gross) from the Indian screens. In the next week, it will have three new Hindi films- Fanney Khan, Mulk & Karwaan in the opposite along with the existing ones.
