Box Office: 2nd Day Collection of Sardaar Ji 2; Performs Fabulously Worldwide

‘Sardaar Ji 2’ Emerged as Highest Opener of all time in Punjabi Cinema

Very popular star of Punjab, Diljit Dosanjh starrer Sardaar Ji 2 has taken a superb start on box office. Being year’s much awaited Punjabi movie, it is getting overwhelmed response from audience across the globe. Also the movie has received very positive reviews from critics. It is the sequel of 2015’s Punjabi blockbuster Sardaar Ji, that is also the major reason behind such great excitement of audience towards the movie.

As always Diljit has given hilarious performance in Sardaar Ji 2. He has showed his skill in recently released Bollywood movie Udta Punjab also. His fans are showing immense craze and created huge buzz about the movie on social media. In north Indian regions, it is doing far better than new Hindi releases. Sardaar Ji 2 has been released on 350 screens in India and reported almost 50% of occupancy across the country on Friday. It raked the business of 2.75 crores on its opening day nationwide, that includes 2.06 crores of East Punjab. With this, Rohit Jugraj’s directorial has registered the highest opening record of all time in Punjabi Cinema by dominating its prequel Sardaar Ji.

On Saturday being weekend and due to positive word of mouth, the movie has recorded higher response than Friday and added the amount of 3 crores (2.12 crores from East Punjab) to its account. At the end of the day, total 2 days collection of Sardaar Ji 2 has become 5.75 crores on domestic box office. From overseas box office too, it is getting quite amazing response.
