Secret Superstar 12th Day Collection, Advait Chandan’s Film Crosses 52 Crore by 2nd Monday

Despite getting very positive reviews from everyone, the recent Hindi offering Secret Superstar is not witnessing desired response at box office. After an overall good opening weekend, it is running on a average note. The reason behind this, is it’s clash with highly buzzed biggie Golmaal Again which has diverted major crowd toward itself.

Being superstar Aamir Khan’s production and super talented Dangal girl Zaira Wasim starrer, Secret Superstar was released with sky high expectations but unfortunately got slow start at box office due to Diwali puja. Because of strong word of mouth it picked up very well over the weekend, but got failed to carry that pace further.

In the opening week, Advait Chandan’s directorial raked the business of total 41.59 crores, that included 31.10 crores of weekend and 10.49 crores of weekdays from approx. 1750 screens across the country.

Then in the second weekend, Secret Superstar showed good rise in footfalls but still remained below-expectations. With 8.3% of drop than previous day, it did the business of 2.10 crores on 2nd Friday. On the next day, the film took fair jump and minted 3.50 crores.

On 2nd Sunday, Zaira Wasim starrer bagged the amount of 4 crores and raised it’s 11 days total collection to 51.19 crores at domestic box office. Now once again this musical drama has entered in weekdays and started getting lower occupancy in theaters.

On 2nd Monday, Secret Superstar faced around 40.5% of drop than Friday and added the amount of 1.25 crore to it’s account. With this, total collection of the film after 12 days has become 52.44 crores nationwide.
