Secret Superstar 13th Day Collection, Aamir Khan’s Production Crosses 53.50 Crore with 2nd Tuesday

Superstar Aamir Khan’s recent production venture Secret Superstar has received very positive reviews from everyone as expected but unfortunately got failed to attain desired level at box office due to clash with biggie Golmaal Again. Also the plan of releasing it on Diwali wasn’t a good idea.

Directed by Advait Chandan, Secret Superstar was released with good initial buzz and sky high expectations. Due to Diwali puja, it registered lower opening than expected but picked up very well over the weekend. Although it wasn’t got succeed to carry that pace further and completed the week on an overall decent note.

In the first week, Dangal girl Zaira Wasim starrer did the business of 41.59 crores that included 31.10 crores of 4-days extended weekend and 10.49 crores of weekdays from around 1750 screens across the country. Now it is running in the second week and lagging behind Golmaal Again by major margin.

In second weekend, Secret Superstar showed some growth but still remained decent. It raked the business of 9.60 crores with 2.10 crores of Friday, 3.50 crores of Saturday and 4 crores of Sunday.  After 11 days of release, total collection of this musical drama was recorded as 51.19 crores at domestic box office.

In weekdays, Zee Studios’ presentation dropped by usual rate and getting more lower footfalls in theater than before. On 2nd Monday, it minted the amount of 1.25 crore with 40.5% drop than Friday. With similar response, Secret Superstar collected 1.25 crore on 2nd Tuesday and raised it’s 13 days total collection to 53.69 crores.
