Last Friday, newer version of Indian film industry famous film Sholay– Sholay 3D was released in the cinema halls. Though Sholay 3D was released in a much lesser number of screens, the 3D version of “Sholay” managed to fare better box office collection than “Mr. Joe B Carvalho“.”Sholay“, starring Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan, was re-released in 3D format on 3 January 2014 but the classic did not open with a bang as expected on the opening day. The film raked in very dull and low collections and response from the Indian film markets and audiences. The action drama scored average in the regions of Delhi, UP, Bihar and Mumbai circuits. The business of the film was expected to go up slightly on Sunday due to the holiday and this came fairly true. The opening weekend total collection of the film rest at around 6 to 7 Crores in India. The 3D version has produced by Sascha Sippy, who is the grandson of the original’s producer GP Sippy. The 3D version has been made on a budget of 20-24 Crores which is way much than the original flick.
