After leaving the dubbed Hindi version of magnum opus 2.0 behind, the last biggie of 2018, Simmba is heading towards the 200-crore mark at the domestic box office. Since its release, the film is getting an exceptional response from the audience nationwide and still roaring louder.
The first film of hit-machine director Rohit Shetty & young Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh together, Simmba has got succeed to hit the target right. After a tremendous start, it remained super-strong throughout the opening week and did the business of 150.81 crores which included 75.11 crores in the weekend and 75.70 crores on weekdays from 4020 screens.
Produced by Reliance Entertainment, Rohit Shetty & Karan Johar, the action entertainer is now running in the second week and once again passed the weekend on a solid note. On 2nd Friday, it recorded a drop of 23.43% than the previous day and minted the amount of 9.02 crores.
Over the second weekend, Simmba showed a healthy jump in footfalls across India and registered the business of 13.32 crores on 2nd Saturday & 17.49 crores on 2nd Sunday. After 10 days, the total collection of Ranveer Singh & Sara Ali Khan starrer was recorded at 190.64 crores.
On 2nd Monday, due to a normal working day, Simmba faced a significant drop but still managed to collect an excellent business of 6.16 crores. With this, its 11 days total domestic collection has become 196.80 crores nett (252.31 crores gross). At the worldwide box office, it has grossed over 325 crores.
