Shraddha Kapoor & Rajkummar Rao starrer horror comedy Stree is running very well at the box office despite having several new offerings in its opposite. Within just 10 days of release, it has become a super-hit and the 10th highest grossing Hindi movie of the year so far by dominating Akshay Kumar’s PadMan (81.82 crores).
Produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner Maddock Films, Stree has entertained all the viewers and received mostly positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience. As a result, it gained a solid word of mouth across India and heading smoothly towards the 100-crore mark.
After a surprising opening, Amar Kaushik’s directorial remained strong throughout and did the business of 60.39 crores in the first week that included 32.27 crores on the weekend and 28.12 crores on weekdays from 1950 screens despite having much-buzzed Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se in parallel.
Then in the second weekend, Stree entered with a maintained pace and did the business of 4.39 crores on 2nd Friday. Showing a remarkable growth on 2nd Saturday, it registered the business of 7.63 crores. With a further jump, the movie collected 9.88 crores on 2nd Sunday from 1770 screens.
Now once again, AA Films’ presentation is on weekdays and witnessed a usual drop in footfalls. On 2nd Monday, it recorded a drop of 24.60% than 2nd Friday and minted the amount of 3.31 crores. After 11 days, the total collection of Stree has become 85.60 crores nett.
