Over half a month back released Hindi horror comedy Stree has turned out a big bonus for its investors. Made with a budget of 20 crores, the movie has already joined the 100-crore club at the domestic box office within 16 days of release and still has enough hold over the audience in its third week.
Starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurrana, Pankaj Tripathi & Abhishek Banerjee, Stree has entertained most of the viewers and gained solid word of mouth. For its unusual & interesting story-line, it has received mostly positive reviews from the critics as well.
After the two successful weeks, Amar Kaushik’s directorial passed the third weekend as well on an excellent note and registered the business of 10.65 crores, with 2.14 crores on 3rd Friday, 3.76 crores on 3rd Saturday, and 4.75 crores on 3rd Sunday.
Now once again Stree has entered on weekdays and faced a considerable drop in footfalls due to normal working days. On 3rd Monday, it witnessed a drop of 12.62% than Friday and minted the amount of 1.87 crores. With this, its 18 days total collection has become 108.05 crores including 95.53 crores last 2 weeks.
Due to positive feedback, Dinesh Vijan’s production remained strong throughout the opening week and did the business of 60.39 crores from 1950 screens. Then in the second week as well, it maintained a very good pace and bagged the amount of 35.14 crores from 1770 screens.
