Stree 24th Day Collection: Passes 4th Weekend on a Solid Note despite new Releases

After the three successful weeks, Shraddha Kapoor & Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree showed a solid uptrend over its fourth weekend as well despite having the new release social drama Batti Gul Meter Chalu in parallel at the box office. In multiplexes, it still has enough hold over the audience and heading unaffectedly to achieve more height.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, this horror comedy has got succeed to hit the target right and received mostly positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience. As a result, it gained a strong word of mouth and has already become the 6th highest grossing Hindi movie of the year so far.

On the 4th Friday, Stree faced a drop of only 5.7% than the previous day due to Muharram and did the business of 1.51 crores. On the next day i.e. 4th Saturday, it took a fair jump of 35.76% and minted the amount of 2.05 crores. Then on 4th Sunday, the movie collected 2.86 crores and raised 24 days total to 119.09 crores including 112.67 crores of last 3 weeks.

By remaining strong throughout the opening week, Dinesh Vijan’s (Maddock Films) production registered the business of 60.39 crores with 32.27 crores on the weekend and 28.12 crores on weekdays. Then in the second week, it maintained a good pace and collected 35.14 crores that included 21.90 crores on the weekend and 13.24 crores on weekdays.

In the third week as well, Stree managed to stay rock-steady and bagged the amount of 17.14 crores with 10.65 crores on the weekend and 6.49 crores on weekdays. As per the current trend, it is likely to surpass the lifetime total of Alia Bhatt’s Raazi (123.84 crores) by the next weekend.
