The second installment in the Student Of The Year franchise, Student Of The Year 2 is all set to hit the theatres on Friday i.e. 10 May 2019 amid good expectations of moviegoers. The film stars Tiger Shroff along with debutantes Tara Sutaria & Ananya Panday in lead roles.
The last couple of weeks was not in favor of Bollywood films, so Student Of The Year 2 is expected to break the spell & bring a good time back for the industry at the box office. Also, as the mammoth Avengers Endgame has slowed down now, the new one has full chance to show its potential.
Looking at the previous records, In 2012, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra & Alia Bhatt starrer Student Of The Year was a success & opened at a decent note with 7.48 crores. The first installment received a good response from the youth audience despite being the debut film of all three lead actors.
Student Of The Year 2 is backed by a successful franchise & obviously has a higher star power than the previous one because Tiger has a huge fan following, so there is a possible chance for the film to open in a range of 12-13 crores at the domestic box office, which is good enough with IPL 2019 in parallel.
Directed by Punit Malhotra, Student Of The Year 2 is produced by Dharma Productions & Fox Star Studios. The makers have got succeed to create the desired pre-release buzz for it across the country. If the audience reacts in favor, the film will take a good jump over the weekend.
