Aditya Chopra’s second biggie of the year, Sultan has come very close to the 300 crores mark. It is positively expected to accomplish the target by its 5th weekend. Being superstar Salman Khan starrer this sports drama has been released with massive hype across the globe and as expected witnessed overwhelmed response from audience.

The actor has received huge appreciations from all for his brilliant performance in the movie. His co-star Anushka Sharma has also left strong impact over audience with her performance. Critics have also reacted in favor of Sultan, which generated strong word of mouth about it and made it the third highest grossing movie of all time in a least time period.

So far, Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial Sultan has shattered many records and now aiming to touch 300 crores mark at domestic box office and 600 crores mark at worldwide box office. In the opening week, it reported phenomenal response and did the business of 229.16 crores including 180.36 crores of weekend and 48.80 crores of weekdays.

In the second week the movie witnessed usual drop and raked the business of 48.80 crores including 34.07 crores of weekend and 14.73 crores of weekdays. Then in third week, despite Rajinikanth’s Kabali it managed to register decent business of 15.84 crores.

Now Sultan is running in its fourth week and did the business of 3.06 crores in the weekend with 0.57 crores of Friday, 0.98 crore of Saturday and 1.51 crore of Sunday. In weekdays being normal working days, the movie again started getting lower occupancy in theaters.

On its fourth Monday, it witnessed almost 40% of drop than last Friday and collected 0.34 crore. On the next day, it showed slight rise in its business and minted 0.36 crore. On Wednesday, the movie reported slight drop and added the amount of 0.34 crore to its account. With this, 29 days domestic total of Sultan has become 297.90 crores.
