Tamasha 14th Day Collection, Crosses 65 Cr in 2 Weeks as Domestic Total

‘Tamasha’ Completes its 2nd Week on an Average Note!

Imtiaz Ali’s directorial romantic drama Hindi film Tamasha of Bollywood’s one of the hottest jodis Ranbir-Deepika, has completed its two weeks journey at box office. In the first week, it showed decent business because of its pre-release hype but in the second week, entire audience attention was tilted towards the new release Hate Story 3. Because of the presence of Ranbir Kapoor & Deepika Padukone, Tamasha was flying high on buzz among audience before its release. But the complex story line of the movie didn’t succeed in entertaining audience and as a result it was lost almost all its pace just after the opening week.

Everyone had very high hopes with Tamasha but unfortunately it didn’t performed in that way but still managed to gross decent business figures. It has received negative reviews from most of the critics as well as movie goers but due to the support of fans and star power, it earned well in the opening week. Tamasha was recorded decent audience response in its first week and managed to collect reputed total, which dragged it to the safe side but was not even near to the earlier expectations. It was minted the total amount of 53.46 crores in first 7 days, comprised of 38.23 crores of weekend & rest 15.23 crores of weekdays.

From the second week, it was started getting very less occupancy due to new release Hate Story 3 and raked total 12.57 crores*, that includes 7.77 crores (Fri: 1.72 cr, Sat: 2.84 cr, Sun 3.21 cr) of weekend & 4.8 crores* (Mon: 1.45 cr, Tue: 1.20 cr, Wed: 1.05 cr, Thu: 1.01 cr) of weekdays. Till the end of its 14th day, total two weeks collection of Tamasha is recorded as 65.94 crores* from Indian screens only. The new release, still has good hold on audience so it is not easy for Tamasha to survive at box office in the third week.
