Thamma and Deewaniyat 6th Day Collection- Opening Weekend Total

This Diwali released two new offerings from the Hindi film industry, the horror-comedy Thamma and the intense romantic drama Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, are performing exceptionally well at the box office despite a clash and the already existing Kantara: Chapter 1. Both the films are getting good support from the audience across the country.

Featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal, Thamma has impressed almost all the critics with its engaging and well-balanced storyline. The film is being appreciated by the audience as well and has garnered a solid word of mouth.

Being the fifth film of the very successful Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, Thamma

had a good pre-release buzz. Benefitted by this and the positive response of viewers, the film took the 4th-best opening of the year so far with 25.11 crores nett on Tuesday. By maintaining a strong pace further, it managed to collect 19.23 crores on Wednesday, 14.45 crores on Thursday, and 12.66 crores on Friday.

On Saturday, the Aditya Sarpotdar directorial Thamma picked up again and minted 13.74 crores. With further growth on Sunday, it did a business of 15.25 crores and registered total of 100.44 crores nett in the 6-day extended opening weekend at the domestic box office. At the worldwide box office, the film has grossed over 138 crores including 119.57 crores gross from India and around 18.50 crores gross from the international markets.

On the other hand, Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa starrer Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has also created the desired impact on viewers as well as most of the critics. Owing to its gripping storyline and strong music, it is getting a surprising response at the box office across the country.

Directed by Milan Milap Zaveri, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat was opened on Tuesday at a terrific note and did a fantastic opening business of 10.10 crores. Enjoying a solid trend, it managed to collect 8.88 crores on Wednesday, 7.10 crores on Thursday, and 6.41 crores on Friday.

On Saturday, as expected, the film picked up well and raked 7.55 crores. On Sunday as well, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat witnessed a significant jump and collected 8.64 crores nett. After 6 days, it has registered a total of 48.68 crores nett at the Indian box office. As per the current trend, it is expected to remain decent in weekdays.
