Once again Hollywood movie spoils the dream run of Bollywood movie on Indian Box Office.
The two low buzzed Hindi offerings that have released this Friday, are witnessing an average response on box office. This includes the suspense thriller Te3n and the romantic action drama Do Lafzon Ki Kahani. Both the movies didn’t have much pre-release hype among audience, so they were expected to get decent after release. But once again Hollywood movies have spoiled the dream run of Bollywood movies on Indian box office by diverting major section of audience toward themselves.
Along with two Hindi movies there are two English movies also, which have been released this week. One of them is the second installment of the most popular American horror franchise The Conjuring and the second one is Warcraft: The Beginning, which is based on the very popular video game series with the same title. Both of them were not promoted on very high scale in India but still they are getting well, especially The Conjuring 2.
On the opening day, Amitabh Bachchan, Vidya Balan & Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Te3n has received very positive response from critics as well as moviegoers. It started the day on a low note, but due to positive buzz reported slightly higher occupancy from evening shows in multiplexes. The movie has minted the amount of 2.61 crores across 1169 screens of India and 1.90 crore from 373 screens in overseas.
On the other hand, Randeep Hood and Kajal Aggarwal starrer has received mixed reviews from critics but audience found it sweet & simple and showed thumbs up for it. As a result, it has raked the decent business of 1.03 crore on domestic box office with 612 screens. On the next day i.e. Saturday, being weekend and due to favorable audience response, both the movies have witnessed decent growth in their business graph; done the business of 3.97 crores & 1.26 crore respectively.
In parallel, The Conjuring 2 has received good on the opening day and reported the impressive business of 5.25 crores with 900 screens from India including its English, Hindi, Tamil & Telugu versions. On Saturday too, it has witnessed impressively higher response and added the amount of 6.50 crores to its account. Whereas Warcraft: The Beginning has done the decent business of 1.65 crore* in two days, that includes 0.90 crore* of Friday and 1.20 crore* of Saturday with limited screens in India.
