‘The Jungle Book’ Emerged as 2nd Biggest Opening Week Grosser of 2016 so far

After showing tremendous performance in the opening week, Walt Disney’s latest offering ‘The Jungle Book’ has entered in its second week on a good note. The movie has been released last Friday with good hype among audience and witnessed magnificent response of audience across the country. Due to wide scale promotions and association of Indian stars with it, has made it to achieve such great height at box office. The Jungle Book has received very positive reviews from critics and overwhelmed response by audience, which has created huge buzz about it and attracting more audience toward theaters.

In the opening week, The Jungle Book has reported massive business  of 74.08 cr, that includes 40.47 cr of weekend and 33.61 cr in weekdays. The business graph shows the phenomenal performance of the movie through out. With this business total, it has dominated the previous much hyped Hollywood movie Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice and also become the second biggest opening weekend grosser movie of the year so far after Airlift.

The Jungle Book has now entered in the second week and despite new big release Shahrukh Khan’s Fan, it is witnessing good response of audience. On its 2nd Friday being holiday on accounts of Ram Navmi, it reported impressive business of 8.02 cr as its 8th day collection and acquired 2nd position among top grosser movies of 2016 till yet after Airlift with 82.65 cr on Indian screens.
