The Lion King 16th Day and Super 30 23rd Day Collection at the Indian Box Office

Despite the release of much-awaited Hollywood offering Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw along with Hindi film Khandaani Shafakhana, a couple of weeks back released Walt Disney Studios’ presentation The Lion King is still heading steadily at the Indian box office.

Directed by Jon Favreau, the live-action adaptation of 1994’s animated film with the same title did the business of 81.57 crores in the first week with 54.75 crores in the weekend and 26.82 crores on weekdays. Then in the second week also, it had raked 45.75 crores that included 32.70 crores in the weekend and 13.05 crores on weekdays.

The Lion King has now entered in the third weekend and still has enough hold over the Indian audience in metros. On 3rd Friday, it had faced a drop of 41.53% than the previous day and minted 1.76 crores. While on 3rd Saturday, with a healthy jump, the film has garnered the business of 4.45 crores and raised 16 days total collection to 133.53 crores nett.

On the other hand, Hrithik Roshan and Mrunal Thakur starrer Super 30 is also running well after the successful three weeks. In the last 3 weeks, it had raked the business of 131.65 that included crores 75.85 crores in the first, 37.86 crores in the second & 17.94 crores in the third week.

On 4th Friday, Vikas Bahl’s directorial had recorded a drop of 36.42% as compared to the previous day and minted 0.96 crore. On the next day i.e. 4th Saturday, with a solid jump, Super 30 managed to collect 2.10 crores and raised its 23 days total collection to 134.71 crores nett at the domestic box office.
