‘Theri’ Gets Mixed Reviews from Critics

One of the much awaited Tamil movie of the year, Vijay starrer Theri has finally released out this Thursday. It had massive pre-release hype among fans and has taken a good start on box office. But critics are not looking completely satisfied with the movie. Fans of Vijay are creating huge buzz about Theri on social media and also there is a tweet war taking place between fans of Thala Ajith Kumar and Vijay.

Along with Vijay, Theri features Samantha and Amy Jackson in lead roles. As always they have performed their characters very well, but still the movie is getting low star ratings. The same kind of response has been noticed at the time of Puli. Some critics have marked it as ‘strictly for fans’, that will definitely result in negative for the movie from Friday. Support of fans is still with the movie but the hype it created earlier is being settled down.

Theri has released on around 1400 screens across the globe, that includes 425 screens of Tamil state and opened up on a good note due to its massive initial buzz. Mixed reviews from critics have affected its post-evening shows. Across Tamil Nadu, Theri reported the overall occupancy of almost 75% and minted the amount of 13.10 cr as its opening business. Now it has become the biggest opener of Vijay’s career so far. But with such mixed response of viewers, there is no hope of increment in its business in coming days.
