From the very first day of release, sequel to 2012’s blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai is setting new records at box office and with the beginning of it’s 4th week this action thriller is all set to emerge as the biggest grosser of Salman Khan‘s career by dominating his 2015’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Tiger Zinda Hai is the second collaboration of superstar Salman with him after last year’s blockbuster Sultan. Due to solid star power, the movie was opened to a humongous note and showed remarkable growth over the weekend because of positive word of mouth.
By remaining strong in weekdays, it registered the business of total 206.04 crores in the first week that included 114.93 crores in weekend and 91.11 crores in weekdays from 4600 screens across India.
In the second week as well, Tiger Zinda Hai showed excellent performance and did the business of 85.51 crores with 48.71 crores in weekend and 36.80 crores in weekdays from 3500 screens nationwide.
Then in the third week, Salman-Katrina starrer successfully maintained a good pace and garnered the business of 27.31 crores that included 17.61 crores of weekend and 9.70 crores of weekdays. After 3 weeks of release, total collection of TZH was recorded 318.86 crores.
Now the movie has entered in it’s fourth week and has several new Hindi offerings in opposite. Despite Kaalakaandi, Mukkabaaz & 1921, Yash Raj Films’ presentation has good hold over audience and minted the amount of 1.46 crore on 4th Friday with approx. 31% of drop than previous day.
With this, total collection of Tiger Zinda Hai after 22 days, has become 320.32 crores at domestic box office. By Saturday it will become the highest grossing movie of Yash Raj Films and the 4th best of all time in Hindi cinema.
