Superstar Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger Zinda Hai that was released on 22 December 2018, has now entered in its 7th weekend after passing 6 weeks on an overall excellent note at the box office. Due to strong word of mouth, the movie received terrific response so far and still has enough hold over the audience.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Tiger Zinda Hai is the second collaboration of him with Salman after the blockbuster Sultan. Being the sequel to 2012’s blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger, this action thriller was released with huge buzz among fans and as expected opened to a humongous note.
Due to solid star power and positive review, TZH remained rock-steady throughout the opening week and did the business of 206.04 crores. With usual drops in footfalls, it bagged the amount of 85.51 crores in the second week, 27.31 crores in third, 10.89 crores in fourth, 5.81 crores in fifth and 2.63 crores in the sixth week.
After 6 weeks of release, total domestic collection of Yash Raj Films’ production was recorded 338.19 crores. Now it has entered in the 7th weekend and still getting considerable response across north India & Maharashtra. On its 7th Friday, the movie faced a drop of approx. 21% than the previous day and minted the amount of 0.15 crore.
With this, the 43 days total collection of Tiger Zinda Hai has become 338.34 crores at the domestic box office. Salman Khan starrer has now come quite close to Aamir Khan’s PK (340.80 crores), but doesn’t seem able to surpass that, as Padmaavat has diverted major audience toward itself.
