Although, superstar Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger Zinda Hai is getting a considerable response in its 8th weekend but, still it doesn’t seem able to surpass the lifetime total of Aamir Khan’s PK (340.80 crores). The movie has lost most of its hold and also has two recent releases Padmaavat and PadMan in the opposite to divert major audience toward themselves.
Since its release, Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial Tiger Zinda Hai has registered numerous box office records and emerged the fourth highest grosser of all time in Hindi cinema. Also, it has become one of the few Indian films that have completed 50 days at the box office.
Sequel to 2012’s blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger, this action thriller was released on 22 December 2017 and as expected opened to a massive note. By remaining strong throughout a couple of weeks, it did the business of 206.04 crores in the first and 85.51 crores in the second week.
Then with usual drops in footfalls, TZH bagged the amount of 27.31 crores in the third week, 10.89 crores in fourth, 5.81 crores in fifth, 2.63 crores in sixth and 0.86 crore in the seventh week. After 7 weeks, the total collection of the movie was recorded 339.08 crores.
On its 8th Friday, Tiger Zinda Hai witnessed a drop of 85.7% than the previous day and raked the business of 0.01 crore. On the next day i.e. 8th Saturday, it showed some growth and collected 0.02 crore. Then on 8th Sunday, with similar response, the movie garnered 0.02 crore and raised its 52 days total collection to 339.13 crores.
