Tiger Zinda Hai 7th Day Collection, Sequel to Ek Tha Tiger Enters in 200 Crore Club by 1st Week

The second collaboration of superstar Salman Khan with director Ali Abbas Zafar after 2016’s Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai was released last Friday and has completed it’s one week journey on a humongous note. Within just a week, this immensely awaited action thriller has entered in 200 crore club domestically and set a new record.

Being sequel to 2012’s blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai had huge pre-release hype and as expected got an outstanding start. Due to thrilling plot, hard-hitting action and excellent performances by the leading actors, it got succeed to impress viewers and received positive reviews from them.

Yash Raj Films’ recent presentation opened to a massive note on Friday and registered highest opening of 2017 in Bollywood. Due to positive word of mouth and solid star power, it showed remarkable growth over the weekend and raked the business of 114.93 crores that included 34.10 crores of Friday, 35.30 crores of Saturday and 45.53 crores on Sunday.

On Monday there was a holiday because of Christmas, so Tiger Zinda Hai cashed the day thoroughly and did the business of 36.54 crores. Then in normal weekdays, the movie recorded considerable drops asusual but still successfully managed to remain strong throughout.

On Tuesday, Salman-Katrina starrer faced 36.66% of drop than Friday and minted the amount of 21.60 crores. While with more drop, it bagged the amount of 17.55 crores on Wednesday. On the next day i.e. Thursday, TZH dropped further and garnered the business of 15.42 crores. With this, total collection of Tiger Zinda Hai after one week, has become 206.04 crores from 4600 screens at Indian box office.

Within a week, it has surpassed the lifetime total of 2017’s Golmaal Again (205.65 crores) alongwith 2015’s Happy New Year (203 crores), 2009’s 3 Idiots (202.95 crores) and the prequel 2012’s Ek Tha Tiger (198.78 crores). Now TZH has emerged as 11th highest grosser of all time in Hindi cinema and 5th best of Salman Khan‘s career so far.
