Hollywood Movies are Doing Well on Indian Box Office

Couple of weeks ago released American fantasy-adventure movie Finding Dory has completed its 2 weeks journey at Indian box office on a decent note. It has received positive reviews from critics as well as moviegoers. Being an animation movie, Finding Dory witnessed overwhelmed response from kids. It has not performed outstandingly well like The Jungle Book but reported better business than some Bollywood movies in India.

In its opening week, it did the business of 7.28 crores with 5.29 crores of weekend and 1.99 crore of weekdays. In the second week due to new Hollywood release Independence Day: Resurgence, it reported almost 50% of drop than first week and minted the amount of 3.04 crores with 2.01 crores of weekend and 1.03 crore of weekdays. After 2 weeks, total collection of Finding Dory has become 10.72 crores nett. & 14.89 crores gross from India only.

On the other hand, last week released science fiction movie Independence Day: Resurgence has witnessed good response on Indian box office and dominated all new Hindi movies. In opening weekend, it raked the business of 16.90 crores with 4.70 crores of Friday, 5.80 crores of Saturday and 6.40 crores of Sunday.

In weekdays, it reported usual drops and minted the amount of 2.10 crores on Monday, 1.90 crore on Tuesday, 1.70 crore on Wednesday and 1.50 crore on Thursday. With this, its one week total collection has become 24.10 crores across India. Now from this week, another English movie has entered in the race The Legend of Tarzan.
