Udta Punjab 12th Day Collection- Now Looses its Hold over Audience

Anurag Kashyap’s last week released crime thriller Udta Punjab showed impressive performance in the opening week. It did almost decent business in the second weekend, but now started loosing its hold over audience. The movie gained huge publicity because of censor board controversy and received complete benefit of its on box office. Also it has received positive reviews from critics as well as moviegoers.

Audience liked Udta Punjab and found its content very strong. Everyone praising the performances of lead stars Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Diljit Dosanjh and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Despite got leak before the release, it witnessed amazing excitement of audience in theaters through out the opening weekend.

It did the business of total 33.80 crores in the first weekend across 2000 screens of India. In weekdays, it faced abrupt fall in its business graph and minted the amount of 14.70 crores. At the end of its first week, total domestic collection of the movie was recorded as 48.50 crores.

In the second weekend, it struggled on box office due to new releases but some how managed to score decent. Udta Punjab minted the amount of 6.10 crores, that includes 1.45 crore of Friday, 2.20 crores on Saturday and 2.45 crores of Sunday. After the 2nd weekend, its total collection was recorded as 54.60 crores on domestic box office and 13.85 crores from overseas market.

Udta Punjab is now once again running in weekdays and getting lesser response than weekend. On Monday it faced almost 45% of drop than last Friday and raked the business of 0.80 crore. On Tuesday, it recorded slight more drop and added 0.75 crore to its account. With this, its 12 days domestic total has become 56.15 crores.
