Phantom Films & Balaji Motion Pictures’ last week presentation Udta Punjab is now about to settle down. The movie is losing its hold over audience and witnessing quite low response. Abhishek Chaubey’s directorial this crime thriller gained so much hype due to censor board controversy and cashed all its benefit after release. Despite got leak before the release, it reported amazing excitement of audience in theaters.

Most of the audience liked Udta Punjab and showed thumbs up for it, that is why it has achieved an almost good height on box office. From critics too, it has received positive reviews because of its content and brilliant performances of lead stars Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Diljit Dosanjh and Kareena Kapoor Khan. They all are being praised by everyone for showing such intense acting.

It started the journey on an impressive note and did the business of 33.80 crores in the opening weekend. In weekdays, it faced abrupt drop in its business graph but maintained a decent pace till the end and minted 14.70 crores. After a week, total collection of Udta Punjab was recorded as 48.50 crores on domestic box office.

In its second weekend, it struggled much due to new releases but some how managed to rake an average business total of 6.10 crores, that includes 1.45 crore of Friday, 2.20 crores on Saturday and 2.45 crores of Sunday. After 10 days, its total collection was recorded as 54.60 crores on domestic box office and 13.85 crores from overseas market.

Now once again the movie is running in weekdays and witnessing lesser response than weekend. On Monday, it did the business of 0.80 crore with the fall of almost 45% than last Friday. On Tuesday, it witnessed almost similar and raked 0.75 crore. Then on Wednesday, it faced little more drop and added the amount of 0.71 crore to its account. With this, its 13 days domestic total has become 56.86 crores.
