Despite being leaked before the release, it has witnessed amazing occupancy on Friday in theaters. The movie has received very positive reviews from most of the critics. Audience also liked it and showed big thumbs up for it.

On Saturday, the movie started the day on slightly lesser note than Friday but from evening shows it recorded higher occupancy. Multiplexes reported better than first day and take its second day collection to 11.25 crores. After 2 days, total domestic collection of Udta Punjab has become 21.30 crores. The north Indian audience is showing huge craze towards the movie.
