Veere Di Wedding 9th Day Collection, Ekta Kapoor’s Film Earns 65 Crores by 2nd Saturday

Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, and Shikha Talsania starrer last Friday released Veere Di Wedding has completed its opening week on a fantastic note and showing strong performance on the second weekend as well. Despite being ‘A’ certified, having no hero and poor IMDb rating, surprisingly it is pulling the major audience toward itself.

For its unusual content and bold performances by the actresses, Veere Di Wedding has received mostly positive reviews from the critics. Although the movie got failed to impress each one of the audience, still running very smoothly at the box office despite the new releases Kaala & Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

After a terrific start, Shashanka Ghosh’ directorial remained super-strong throughout the opening weekend and registered the business of 36.52 crores, that included 10.70 crores of Friday, 12.25 crores of Saturday, and 13.57 crores of Sunday from 2177 screens across India.

Then by remaining strong on weekdays as well, Veere Di Wedding did the business of 6.04 crores on Monday, 5.47 crores on Tuesday, 4.87 crores on Wednesday, and 4.06 crores on Thursday. After a week, the total collection of the movie was recorded at 56.96 crores.

Now Ekta Kapoor & Rhea Kapoor’s production is running on its second weekend and still has a solid hold over the audience. With a drop of 17% than the previous day, it minted the amount of 3.37 crores on 2nd Friday. On 2nd Saturday, VDW took a healthy jump and collected 4.51 crores to raise its 9 days domestic total to 64.84 crores nett.
