Finally, after the wait of many years, the much-anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed Vishwaroop ‘Vishwaroop 2’ is all set to hit the screens this Friday amid the good excitement of fans. Rohit Shetty under his production banner Rohit Shetty Picturez & Reliance Entertainment are presenting the Hindi version of the film across India.
The installment of Kamal Haasan’s espionage thriller franchise Vishwaroop (Vishwaroopam) was released in 2013 and did very well at the box office despite facing serious criticism from the offended religious group. From the critics, it received very positive reviews, this is the reason everyone has so many expectations for its sequel.
Directed by Kamal Haasan himself, Vishwaroop 2 was announced just after the release of its prequel but unfortunately, it took a long time to be made. Initially, makers unveiled its first look posters in May 2017 was scheduled to be released in 2017-end. But again the film got delayed and releasing now on 10 August 2018 in Tamil, Hindi & dubbed Telugu languages worldwide.
Looking at the records, Vishwaroop 1 (Hindi) opened with the business under 2 crores nett at the Indian box office. Considering the fact, that there is no other film in competition, Vishwaroop 2 is expected to open in a range of 2.50-3 crores. The numbers can be increased abruptly if the film gets a similar response as its prequel.
In the northern & nearby regions, the audiences are more focused towards the Independence Day’s releases- Akshay Kumar’s Gold & John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate. But surely, the Tamil & Telugu versions of Raajkamal Films International’s production will open on a way better note in South India.
