‘Wazir’ Unfortunately failed at Box Office!
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and multi-talented Farhan Akhtar starrer emotional drama thriller film Wazir has unfortunately get failed in gaining audience attention. The film has been released on 8th January with bit hype among audience. Being the year’s first big Hindi release, it was expected to take all benefits but it hasn’t come out in that way. It has received mixed reviews from critics as well as audience. Wazir was reported decent business through out its opening weekend but abruptly lost its hold over audience in weekdays.
In its first week, Wazir recorded overall average response and did the business of total 30.05 crores from Indian screens only, that includes 21.10 crores of weekend and 8.95 crores of weekdays. It was raked total 14.22 crores from overseas screens through out in first week. In its second week, the film has faced the drop of almost 70% than previous week. In the weekend, it was minted the amount of 6.28 crores that includes 1.69 crore of Friday, 2.14 crores of Saturday and 2.45 crores of Sunday.
In weekdays of second week, it witnessed very low response and collected the amount of 0.92 crore on Monday, 0.78 crore on Tuesday, 0.70 crore on Wednesday and 0.65 crore on Thursday. Till the end of its second week, total collection of Wazir is recorded as 39.38 crores at domestic and approx. 19 crores at overseas box office. Now the new and very much awaited Hindi film Airlift is being released today, so there is no chance for this existing one to collect considerable amounts.
