‘Welcome Back’ 4th Day Collection: Registered 3rd Highest Weekend Total of 2015

Anees Bazmee directorial latest movie Welcome Back has registered the third highest weekend total of 2015 after Bajrangi Bhaijaan & Brothers. The movie has done the business of total 51 crores at domestic box office and 21.38 crores from overseas screens. It has grossed the total of 90 crores worldwide in just 3 days including its distribution shares. Welcome back has received mixed reviews from critics after release but audience find it very entertaining and made it to earn such good figures at box office.

Welcome Back is the sequel of 2007’s Akshay Kumar & Katrina Kaif starrer Welcome. This time the lead stars have replaced by John Abraham & Shruti Haasan and also the budget of the movie is very high than the previous one. The most entertaining characters and gems of the movie Anil Kapoor & Nana Patekar have performed superbly. Their hilarious punches keeps audience laugh till the end.

On its first day, Welcome Back started on an excellent note and minted 14.35 crores from Indian screens. On Saturday being the weekend and also the holiday, it showed rise in its business and added 17.05 crores more to its accounts. Then on the main day of weekend i.e. Sunday being the holiday, movie recorded highest occupancy and minted 19.60 crores. Till the end of the weekend, the total domestic collection of the movie was calculated as 51 crores.

Now the movie has been entered in weekdays and as usual expected to face drop in its business. On Monday, Welcome Back has witnessed the drop of more than 60% and its collection is estimated around 7.52 crores. The craze of audience is still high towards the movie which gives the sense of steady business till the end of the week.
