‘Welcome Back’ 8th Day Collection: Crosses 75 Cr in 8 Days at Box Office

John Abraham, Shruti Haasan, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar & Paresh Rawal starrer latest comedy movie Welcome Back has registered the second highest opening week collection of year 2015 so far in Bollywood after Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The movie has done the business of total 74.02 crores in its first week. It has received mixed reviews from critics but successfully passed all the challenges on box office. With the support of audience & fans, Welcome Back got the ticket to be added in the list of 2015’s successful movies.

Welcome Back is the sequel of 2007’s very entertaining & successful movie Welcome. The prequel featured the superstar Akshay Kumar & Katrina Kaif in lead roles, this time the lead couple has been replaced by John Abraham & Shruti Haasan. Audience has liked the movie & their performance but also saying ‘the movie could be more hilarious, if Akshay was there‘.

In its first week, Welcome Back was minted the total collection of 74.02 crores that includes 51 crores of weekend and 23.02 crores of weekdays. Now the movie has entered in the second week and now have the new romantic-action movie in competition. There is an advantage for Welcome Back because the new release is not looking enough capable to impress audience, so the only option left for moviegoers to watch is this last week released comedy drama. On the first day of its second week, it has recorded less occupancy than previous day and minted around 2.75 crores* as its 8th day collection. The movie is expected to take rise in its business from Saturday.
