‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Rules Indian Box Office

Another much awaited superhero movie from Hollywood, ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ has taken excellent start across India. As expected, it has witnessed highest response among all new releases. The movie has been released with huge excitement of audience and received amazing reviews and response. After terrific performance of Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice and Captain America: Civil War on Indian box office, now this new one has taken the charge.

In India, X-Men: Apocalypse has released a week before than its US release, this shows the popularity of English movies here. Audience found the movie very entertaining and up to the mark, which has boosted up its craze among audience. X-Men is one of the most popular Hollywood’s action superhero franchises. Before the release, it was expected to rake good but fortunately it has reported better than expectations. The movie is strongly expected to show decent growth on Saturday and Sunday in its business.

On the opening day, X-Men: Apocalypse witnessing excellent occupancy of almost 50% across the country and minted the amount of 4.51 cr on Indian box office. The major contribution is made by metro cities and single screens have also reported good. Despite positive reviews, adjacent Hindi release Sarbjit has witnessed much loss due to this Hollywood’s one.

Both movies are getting positive response from audience as well as critics. But due to higher dose of entertainment, X-Men: Apocalypse is expected to maintain the lead till the end of this week.
