Forbes Magazine has compiled a list of 34 actors on the basis of their earnings (excluding all taxes) from June 1’2014 to June 1’2015, in which Indian superstars Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar are in world’s top 10 highest paid actors. According to the report, Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan are the same 7th position with total earnings of $33.5 million. Whereas Akshay is at 9th position with $32.5 million dominated Hollywood’s legends Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), Johnny Depp. & Mark Wahlberg etc.
Frobes said, “72 years old Amitabh Bachchan dominated next oldest actor 63 years old ‘Taken’ star Liam Neeson by $14 Million because of the movie such as ‘Bhootnath Returns‘, ‘Shamitabh‘ etc. and one of the highest rated TV show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati‘ that was recorded 5.2 million weekly viewership in its 8th season”. “49 years old Salman Khan is one of the biggest stars of Bollywood and at the same position with Amitabh Bachchan because of his movie ‘Kick’ and the clothing brand Being Human”. “47 years old Akshay is the most busiest actor in Bollywood does four movies in a year on an average”. “Bollywood movies grosses far less at Box Office than US Films but the retrieve the costs by selling satellite rights to TV channels” Forbes added.
Among top 10 actors, The Iron Man i.e. Robert Downey has topped the list with $80 Million earnings because of his top grossing movies such as “Avengers: Age of Ultron“. World’s one of the most famous action heroes Jackie Chan is at second position with earnings of $50 Million. Third position of the list has been acquired by “Fast & Furious” fame Vin Diesel with $47 Million total earnings. “American Sniper” & “Guardians of the Galaxy” actor Bradley Cooper on the 4th position with $41.5 million in earnings. Adam Sandler is at 5th position with $41 Million earnings, just one above than very popular Tom Cruise who is at 6th position with $40 Million. 7th – 9th positions have been acquired by Bollywood’s actors Amitabh Bachchan & Salman Khan with same $33.5 Million and Akshay Kumar with $32.5 Million total earnings. At the last position, “Ted” & “Ted 2” actor Mark Wahlberg is listed with $32 Million earnings is last 12 months.
Bollywood’s King Khan is not in top 10, but featured in the list of 34 at 18th position with total earnings of $26 Million equals to the iconic Hollywood actor, producer & raper Will Smith and more than the “Good Will Hunting” actor Matt Damon, “X-Men” actor Hugh Jackman & Oscar-winning actor Russel Crowe. The heartthrob actor of Bollywood Ranbir Kapoor has listed first time in the list and at 30th position with earnings $15 Million. Ranbir is at the last position among all his 5 Bollywood actors but the good thing is, he has dominated actors Chris Pratt, Chris Evans & Hong Kong actor Andy Lau.
