In the present time, Rajkummar Rao is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood and has several upcoming projects in hands. After the romantic comedy Bareilly Ki Barfi, the actor is all set with his another offering titled Newton. Directed by Amit V Masurkar, it’s a black comedy ready to hit theaters on September 22.

Alongside Rajkummar Rao in the titular role, it also stars renowned actors Pankaj Tripathi, Raghubir Yadav and Sanjay Mishra with Anjali Patil in crucial roles. After the first look, Newton once again hit the headlines with it’s trailer that was released on August 29.

The promo video with duration 2:56 minutes is damn interesting, gives the brief picture of movie’s plot and also shares many light & serious moments from it. Undoubtedly the trailer has raised the excitement of everyone to next level and now all are looking keen to watch Newton.

Presented by Manish Mundra the maker of critically acclaimed movies Ankhon Dekhi, Masaan & Dhanak, Newton is the story of a rookie government clerk Nutan (Newton) Kumar, sent on election duty in a Naxal-affected town inside the conflict-ridden forests of Chhattisgarh.

Faced with the apathy of security forces on one hand and the looming fear of guerrilla attacks by the Naxalites on the other, Newton tries his best to conduct free and fair voting despite the odds stacked against him, all with a dollop of humor.

Initially Newton was scheduled to release on August 18, but to avoid clash with Rajkummar’s another offering Bareilly Ki Barfi, later it’s release got cancelled. Now this black comedy is slated to release on September 22 opposite to Sanjay Dutt’s Bhoomi and Shraddha Kapoor’s Haseena Parkar.
