Haseena Parkar is Directed by Apoorva Lakhia
Haseena Parkar which was earlier titled as Haseena: The Queen of Mumbai, is now shifted back to 18 August 2017 from 14 July. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, it is based on the life of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar.
In the film, titular role is being played by Shraddha Kapoor and her brother Siddhanth Kapoor will be seen as Dawood. For this first time, both brother and sister are coming together and sharing the same relationship on silver screen.
First look of Haseena Parkar was released in February and re-released on June 12 with it’s changed title. On June 16, as per schedule makers unveiled the official teaser of the film, which describes the persona of Haseena perfectly. “Aapa Yaad Reh Gaya Na? Naam Yaad Rakhne Ki Jarurat Nahi!”
In the teaser, Shraddha as Haseena is looking fearsome and mighty. For the first time, she will be seen in such an impactful and challenging role. Also it will be very exciting for fans, to see her in a completely different avatar. After the teaser now all are looking forward to it’s trailer and music, which is composed by Sachin-Jigar.
Before Half Girlfriend, Shraddha’s last two films Rock On 2 and OK Jaanu got failed to impress critics as well as audience. Infact Mohit Suri’s directorial showed lower performance than expected as well as the opposite release Hindi Medium. So this one would be a break through for her.
Produced by Nahid Khan under the banner Swiss Entertainment, Haseena Parkar is all set to be released on 18 August 2017. Rajkummar Rao’s Newton and Ayushmann Khurrana – Kriti Sanon starrer Bareilly Ki Barfi are also scheduled for the same release date.
Amendment: Haseena Parkar has now been postponed to 22 September 2017.
