South Indian Cinema’s one of the most popular superstars Dhanush is back with the sequel of his 2014’s big hit Velai Illa Pattadhari, popularly known as VIP. The latest installment is directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth and set to release on 11 August 2017 in Tamil language, the Telugu & Hindi versions of the film will release later.

On Wednesday i.e. June 7, megastar of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan took to twitter to release the official teaser of VIP 2 aka Velai Illa Pattadhari 2. He wrote, “my friend my co star my friends Son in law .. DHANUSH .. his new film trailer .. all the best”.

Dhanush himself too shared the official Tamil and Telugu teasers of the film via his twitter handle. On June 3, actor announced the release date of #VIP2Teaser and meanwhile posted several interesting posters from the film.

The 0.37 min teaser looks appealing and as intended raising the hype of VIP 2 among fans as well as audience. In the sequel Dhanush is reprising his role of Raghuvaran from first part and the film also stars Kajol as an addition to the original starcast that includes Vivek, Saranya Ponvannan, Amala Paul and Samuthirakani.

After two decades, Kajol is making her comeback in Tamil cinema. Last she was seen in 1997’s Minsara Kanavu, which was released with title Sapnay in Hindi. Reportedly she is playing as a businesswoman in VIP 2 but disappointingly not visible in the first teaser of the film.

Co-produced by V. Creations and Dhanush’ home production banner Wunderbar Films, the bilingual VIP 2 aka Velai Illa Pattadhari 2 is scheduled to be released on 11 August 2017, which is Dhanush’ birthday also.
