Fifth Installment of ‘Ice Age’ Film Series
Ice Age: Collision Course is an American family adventure animated movie, directed by Mike Thurmeier and Galen T. Chu. It is bankrolled by Lori Forte under the banner 20th Century Fox Animation and Blue Sky Studios. It is the fifth installment of very popular animation franchise Ice Age. The movie has much pre-release buzz among Indian audience and expected to get decent response on box office.
Ice Age: Collision Course features Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Queen Latifah, Keke Palmer, Jennifer Lopez, Simon Pegg and Chris Wedge; these all reprise their roles from previous installments. New additions to the cast includes Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Adam DeVine, Nick Offerman, Max Greenfield, Stephanie Beatriz, Melissa Rauch, Carlos Ponce, Michael Strahan, Jessie J and Neil deGrasse Tyson.
In many countries including Australia, Germany and UK, the movie has already been released and received mixed reviews from critics as well as moviegoers. In USA, it will release on 22 July and in India it is scheduled to be released a week earlier on 15 July in Hindi, English, Tamil & Telugu languages. The advance booking of the movie is now open across the country and witnessing slow response.
Hindi film Great Grand Masti is also scheduled to be released this Friday and also the giant Sultan is flying high on box office. So in such circumstances, it won’t be easy for Ice Age: Collision Course to perform impressively as many Hollywood’s movies have done in this year.
